Delta State students present research at Mississippi Academy of Sciences Conference

Students from Delta State University's Division of Mathematics and Sciences earned multiple awards and showcased a strong body of undergraduate research at the 90th Mississippi Academy of Sciences (MAS) Conference, held March 19-20, 2026, in Biloxi. Sixteen students and six faculty members contributed a combined three oral and 11 poster presentations, representing disciplines across ecology, biology, chemistry, geology and related fields. Their work was featured in four conference divisions, highlighting the university's continued emphasis on hands-on research and student engagement in the sciences.

Service work in Costa Rica

Delta State University honor students spent their 2026 spring break serving others, experiencing Costa Rican culture and broadening their global perspective through a service-learning study abroad trip to Costa Rica. By blending service, study and cultural immersion, the Costa Rica experience gave Delta State students a meaningful spring break centered on learning and engagement. Through their work with local organizations, their time with host families and their exploration of Costa Rican life, students returned with a deeper appreciation for service, cultural understanding and global citizenship.

FBLA Conference Awards

Delta State University's chapter delegation of Future Business Leaders of America showcased its talent and business acumen at the 2026 State Leadership Conference, held Feb. 25-27 at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Competing against top FBLA chapters from across the state, Delta State students brought home numerous awards and secured their place among Mississippi's top future business leaders.

Delta State University congratulates students named to the fall 2025 President's List. These students achieved a 3.80 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
