Delta State University's Wiley Planetarium launches laser show week
CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University's Wiley Planetarium is thrilled to announce an exclusive week of laser shows, bringing an immersive, music-synchronized visual experience to the dome for the first time ever. These unique shows feature vibrant laser graphics set to popular music, catering to a wide range of musical tastes-from Taylor Swift and Broadway favorites to the classic sounds of Pink Floyd and rock legends.
The laser shows, each running 40 to 60 minutes, are designed to captivate audiences with a stunning combination of lights, color, and music. "I'm so excited to bring laser shows to our Delta State dome," said Dr. Maria Weber, Associate Professor of Physics and Wiley Planetarium Director. "Laser shows are popular events in larger cities and planetariums. These shows demonstrate the versatility of our planetarium theater. Our primary goal is STEM education, but with these laser shows, we will be able to bring a new audience to experience Wiley Planetarium."
Tickets for each show are only $5 per person and can be purchased at the door with cash or check until sold out. Advance ticket sales will also take place in the planetarium lobby on Monday, November 11, and Thursday, November 14, from 5:30 to 6:15 PM.
Laser Show Schedule:
November 11: 6:30 PM
November 14 & 15: 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM
