The DMI at Delta State University on the charts again in Billboard Magazine

CLEVELAND, Miss. - For the third consecutive year, Delta State University's Entertainment Industry Studies program has been named among Billboard magazine's Top Music Business Schools for 2024. The news appeared in the October 26 issue of the magazine.

Billboard chooses its top music business schools based on industry recommendations, alumni information provided by honorees from multiple lists, information requested from each school and nearly a decade of reporting on these programs. While online education programs have proliferated, Billboard's choices are campus-based and bestow bachelor's or associate degrees.

Recognizing the significant financial challenge of higher education, Billboard has prioritized the selection of more affordable public colleges and universities, and their list is geographically diverse. Beyond music industry capitals, tomorrow's executives study at Auburn University in Alabama, Baldwin Wallace University, Delta State University in Mississippi and the State University of New York in Oneonta, New York.

DMI Director and Entertainment Industry Studies Chair, Richard Tremmel said, "Receiving this honor from Billboard for three consecutive years is a testament to our program's dedication to educating students on the business of the entertainment industry."

Delta State's Entertainment Industry Studies program is housed in the College of Business & Aviation and offers students a comprehensive and dynamic education in the technological, creative, and business aspects of the entertainment industry through the B.S. in Entertainment Industry Studies degree. With a focus on hands-on learning experiences, DMI students receive the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the field, gain valuable industry knowledge and connections, and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in entertainment.
