DSU names Robinson as Communications and Marketing Specialist for University Advancement Office
CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University is pleased to announce that Amanda Robinson has been appointed as the new Communications and Marketing Specialist for the University Advancement Office. A 2010 cum laude graduate of Delta State with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, concentrating in Graphic Design, Robinson brings nearly a decade of dedicated service and expertise to her new role.
Robinson began working at Delta State began nine years ago, making significant contributions in various capacities within the Alumni Association. Starting as Senior Secretary, she quickly advanced to Assistant Director and served as Interim Alumni Director. Her extensive experience in communications and marketing during her tenure included overseeing social media, email marketing, and membership marketing campaigns.
In her new role, Robinson will be responsible for all communications and marketing efforts for both the Alumni Association and the Delta State Foundation. Her duties will encompass managing social media platforms, email communications, graphic design, and photography, ensuring that the University's message is effectively conveyed to its alumni, supporters, and the broader community.
Robinson's dedication to Delta State extends beyond her professional responsibilities. She is a lifetime member of the DSU Alumni Association and has been an active participant in the university's Administrative Staff Council since 2017. Her involvement in the council includes serving on the Incentives and Recognition Committee and previously on the Staff Development Committee, where she played a key role in public relations.
In addition to her university contributions, Robinson is deeply involved in the local community. She is a Life Member of the Junior Auxiliary of Cleveland, where she served as Public Relations Chair for two years, and a past Crosstie Arts Festival Board Member, where she also served as Public Relations Chair for two years.
Robinson and her husband, Morgan, who is also a 2010 graduate of Delta State, reside in Cleveland with their three children: Shelby, Polly, and John Martin.
