DSU welcomes back students for beginning of fall semester
CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University is thrilled to welcome new and returning students for the start of the Fall 2024 semester. The campus is alive with excitement as students, faculty and staff embark on a new academic year filled with opportunities for learning, growth and community engagement.
DSU President Dr. Daniel J. Ennis expressed his enthusiasm for the beginning of the new semester, stating, "The first day of classes is always a special time at Delta State. It's a moment of renewed energy and hope, where the campus community comes together to forge new paths in education and personal development. Our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment remains steadfast, and I'm excited to see how our students will thrive this year."
Students from across Mississippi, the United States, and 45 countries around the world are set to join the vibrant campus community.
Students moved into the residence halls on Saturday, and OKRAtation included four days of activities to acquaint new students with opportunities available at Delta State. To celebrate the start of the semester, the university has several events planned throughout the week, including Nachos on the Quad, International Student Orientation, and opportunities for students to connect with campus organizations to help them join in so they will be ready to stand out.
